Ms. Mitchell is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She graduated from Pace University with her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Sociology/Anthropology. Before joining Notre Dame, she worked as a science educator for nearly two years, and also as a librarian for four years. She is pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering, and in her free time she is with friends or with her two cats and turtle, Darnell Quimby.
