Dear Members of the Notre Dame Community and Visitors to our Website,
Welcome to cheznous.org, the website for Notre Dame School. Whether you are an alumna, current student or parent, friend of the school or prospective student, you will always find something new about Notre Dame on our website.
Chez nous is French for our home, and the nickname of our school. We were founded by the Sisters of St. Ursula in 1912 and we are in the midst of celebrating our 100th anniversary. Our founder, Anne de Xainctonge, desired to provide an excellent education for girls as the Jesuits provided one for boys..
We invite you to take a look at our 100 works project to get a taste of what are our faculty's favorite works of literature, paintings, scientific works, prayers and much more. This list was compiled, in part, to celebrate our 100th.
A full review of our website will familiarize you with our school: students, faculty, curriculum, college profile, building and resources, athletic programs, extracurricular activities and special events. Please take a virtual tour of our terrific facilities via the ND Tour button on the home page, review our College Profile under the Counseling Center heading and find our Course of Study under Academics.
All of our 300 students are bright young women who feel happy and blessed to be a part of the chez nous family. They are especially well prepared for college as 100% of our graduates attend each year. Last year, 90% won academic scholarships to the college of their choice.
As president of the school, I can assure you that if you are in the process of choosing a high school for your daughter, ND is a good investment. You can be confident that your daughter will navigate her teenage years successfully with the support of our nurturing faculty and that a college scholarship is well within her reach.
Thank you for spending time on our website. I wish you every blessing in the new year.
Warm regards,

Dr. Virginia O'Brien, S.U. '70
President
Notre Dame School
